Let’s Ground with These Practices
Alright, let’s dive into some easy, yet powerful practices to nurture your Root Chakra. Think of these as your go-to tools this month:
Mantra Meditation:
Sit comfortably or even lie down if that’s more your vibe.
Close your eyes, take a few deep breaths, and chant “Lam” (pronounced LUM). Let the vibration ground you at the base of your spine. Do this for 5-10 minutes—or longer if you’re feeling it.
Visualization Meditation:
Picture a glowing red light at the base of your spine. Each inhale makes it brighter, and each exhale spreads grounding energy through your body. Do this for 3-5 minutes, or as long as you need—it’s your time to connect and ground yourself.
Earth Breathing:
Start by focusing on the parts of your body touching the ground—your sit bones, feet, or back.
Inhale deeply, visualizing energy rising from the Earth into your Root Chakra. Exhale and let go of tension. Repeat for at least 4 minutes, but feel free to stay as long as you need.
Movement Practices:
Ground Stomping:
Stand tall, stomp those feet, and let your arms swing freely. Each stomp is like shaking off the stress and reconnecting with the Earth. Go for 2-3 minutes—or dance it out longer if the mood strikes!
Forward Folds:
Whether you’re standing or seated, hinge at the hips and let your upper body melt forward. Hold for a few minutes and feel the stretch—hello, calm vibes!
Journaling Prompts:
Find a cozy spot, grab your favorite pen, and let your thoughts flow. Answer one of these questions daily:
Jan 1-13: What makes me feel most secure and grounded today?
Jan 14-29: What step can I take today to create more stability in my life?
Set a timer for 5 minutes, and just write. No overthinking—just let your words reflect your truth.
Affirmation Work:
Jan 1-13: “I am grounded, safe, and secure in my foundation.”
Jan 14-29: “I welcome abundance and stability into my life.”
Repeat each affirmation three times, then do it three more times. That’s 9 in total—and trust me, the repetition works wonders.
